Have you ever experienced raw tragedy? An event unfolded that was so unexpected that you never imagined this to be your reality.
Immense heartbreak has been felt over the years for Traci Kovacic, a financial rep and life insurance agent. She works toward ensuring every client is covered with insurance, as Traci firsthand knows the value of this action. “Life insurance is something you shouldn’t pass by. Unfortunately, the other side of life is real; you wake up one day to having lost a loved one,” says Traci.
Traci and her husband, Michael, were married for five years and shared two children together. One Sunday morning, Traci’s world was shattered as the call came that would shake her at her very core. The news that her husband was in the hospital with heart issues when all he did was participate in a race that very morning was a shock. The words from the medical team who worked on her husband were overwhelming. “We couldn’t save him.” Traci spent a decade in immense grief.
This loss is something Traci still faces every single day, missing Michael deeply. But, she stresses the importance of Michael’s life insurance policy being there to provide for their kids upon his passing. “My father-in-law helped me invest the life insurance money,” said Traci. She’s since been able to live from the interest of her investments, utilizing the principal only in extreme situations. This experience propelled Traci into a determination to help others realize the importance of life insurance.

Another event would unfold that became overwhelming. Ironically, this accident occurred on a Sunday morning, just as Traci’s husband had previously sustained a fatal diagnosis. Traci’s daughter was on a ski trip with her grandparents when a tragic accident occurred. A man ran into her daughter on skis, causing her to fly 20 feet into the air. The situation did not seem as if the outcome would be a hopeful one. Her daughter sustained five near-fatal injuries that included damage to her spleen and a possible brain stem stroke. Traci stated, “I felt this breath coming out of me that felt like my soul.” After a six-hour surgery, Traci’s daughter was able to wiggle her toes and eventually could communicate through an iPad.
Traci now shares gratitude for Josie’s eventual miraculous recovery through the help of many medical professionals and a long commitment from her family during months of rehabilitation.
Traci started her career working for her father-in-law and shares her appreciation for the knowledge she gained there. However, early in 2025, she inevitably had to shift paths and go out on her own. She was welcomed with open arms by her new team at Primerica, and shows promise for big growth and possibilities, where she will help countless more families establish their financial house and have the best life insurance they can for their family. She also has the opportunity to grow her own team through Primerica, multiplying the power of making an impact around her.
“Our responsibility as fiduciaries is always having our client’s best interest in mind,” says Traci. A very profound reason to consider purchasing life insurance is emphasized by Traci. “When your life crumbles around you, life insurance is not for debt; it is simply a tool to buy your time while grieving, to figure out what you will do next.” Traci truly understands the adversity and hardships that life can present, and can assist in ensuring your investments are individualized for you.

In growing her business, Traci is wholeheartedly following her purpose. She utilized the power of social media to promote the empowerment that one can have by taking care of this essential topic, so peace of mind can occur, knowing your loved ones will be taken care of during the most difficult time in their life.
